What's In Your Water

In recent years, the quality of our public water has come into question. Numerous articles have be released exposing the issue of unsafe drinking water and the tremendous costs involved in upgrading our public water systems. It is important that our bodies get enough water and it is also important that the water we drink is microbiologically safe.

What you don't want in your drinking water:

  • Cryptosporidium & Giardia - primary source of this is animal feces which can contain harmful cysts. Land runoff carries cysts into our water supply sources. The cyst microorganism is about 3 to 4 microns in size and is resistant to chlorine disinfection treatment.
  • Lead - lead can leach into water from lead plumbing, lead solder and brass alloy faucets.
  • Lindane and Atrazine - Lindane is a pesticide used on cattle, lumber and gardens. Atrazine is a herbicide used on corn and non-crop land.
  • Asbestos - direct and indirect water contamination can result from natural deposits.
  • Chlorine - disinfectants used by drinking water treatment plants.
  • Mercury - direct and indirect water contamination can result from crop runoff, natural deposits, batteries and electrical switches.
  • Copper - direct and indirect water contamination can result from natural/industrial deposits.
Drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day is recommended by physicians and health nutritionists alike. Consumption of water should be encouraged and what better way to supply clean fresh tasting water at an affordable price than by providing a filtered water cooler for your employees and customers.
What you should do

It makes sense to be careful about the water you drink. United States tap water is some of the best water in the world but there are no guarantees that contaminants are absent from the water you drink from the tap.

The dual filtration system which comes standard on our water coolers remove the contaminants and the bad odors from drinking water so that you can continue to confidently drink water for your good health.
